🍜 How to Make Spicy Jjamppong Ramen at Home! 🔥

Today, let's make spicy jjamppong ramen using simple ingredients at home!
A rich, spicy broth with chewy noodles—doesn't that sound amazing? 🤤💛

🍜 Ingredients (1 Serving)

1 pack of ramen (Preferably a spicy one like Shin Ramyun, Jin Ramyun Spicy, etc.)
A handful of seafood (Squid, mussels, shrimp—optional but recommended!)
A handful of cabbage (or napa cabbage, bok choy)
1/4 onion (thinly sliced)
1/2 green onion (diagonally sliced)
A bit of carrot (julienned, optional)
1 chili pepper (Cheongyang chili or red chili for extra spiciness)
2–3 cloves of garlic (minced or sliced)
1 tbsp red pepper powder (gochugaru) (Key to the smoky flavor!🔥)
1 tbsp soy sauce (Enhances umami!)
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce (Optional but adds depth)
1 tbsp cooking oil
500ml water


🥄 How to Make It

1️⃣ Make the Spicy Oil Base🔥

🍳 Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pot over medium-low heat. Add garlic, green onion, and red pepper powder, and stir-fry.
🍳 When the garlic turns golden and the aroma fills the air, pour in 1 tbsp of soy sauce for an extra smoky kick!
💡 TIP: Be careful not to burn the red pepper powder! Keep the heat at medium-low.

2️⃣ Stir-Fry the Seafood & Vegetables

🍤 If using seafood, toss it in and stir-fry for a minute.
🥕 Then, add onion, carrot, cabbage, and chili pepper, and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.
🥄 For extra umami, add 1/2 tbsp of oyster sauce!

3️⃣ Make the Broth

💦 Pour 500ml of water into the pot and bring it to a boil.
⏳ Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes to extract the flavors.

4️⃣ Cook the Ramen

🍜 Once the broth is boiling, add the ramen noodles and seasoning packet. Let it cook until the noodles are done.
🌶 Want a richer taste?
👉 Add a pinch of black pepper and 1/2 tbsp of chicken stock for a deeper broth flavor!

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy

✨ Sprinkle some black pepper for an extra kick!
